How To Quickly Clear Icon Badges For Apps [iOS]

Updated on September 1, 2017

Everyone owning an iPhone is sure to make it more and more easy to use installing a lot of customization apps. And this statement proves why Jailbreaking is fruitful! But sadly news is around the air the jailbreaking is not going to be possible from 6.1.3!

But we are not here for this now. We are here for a cydia tweak that could quickly clear all your notification badges! A badge is an indicator that indicates a new message, email, push notification, or voicemail is waiting. Each app with unread information has a white number with a red background in the upper right corner of the app icon.

We have many applications giving this feature but Clear Badges offers the same functionality for free! You need not configure anything to see the tweak in action after installation, just enter jiggle mode by long-pressing any app icon and then double-tap the desired icons to remove their badges. Additionally it has an SBSettings toggle for those looking to remove all badges in one go! Just tap the ‘X-Badges’ toggle whenever you feel to cleanse your screen.

However, the badges return whenever you re-launch or when a new notification arrives. This can be taken as a positive feature of the tweak, since the badges are not permanently disabled (everyone of us expect some notification in case of a new mail or message isn’t?).

This tweak can be downloaded for free from the Cydia Repo.
