In continuation to our tutorials on how to save your smartphone battery, we are back again with a new cydia tweak that can automatically turn off your display when you put it in your pocket. Well, you can use power button to turn On & Off your smartphone display, but sometimes we forget to do that – thus can eat up some juice. Always On Proximity is a new tweak available on Cydia repository that can quickly enable or disable the proximity sensor using an activator gesture, thus can turn off the screen when you ask to do it. For Instance, placing your smartphone screen facing the desk can automatically put off your display or when you put in your pocket.

Always On Proximity works with the Activator, which means the gesture activates the proximity sensor and sends a notification every time it is toggled. When the Always On Proximity is enabled, the display is put to Off when the proximity sensor is covered by an object. For example, to put off the display you need not use the power button, just place the phone facing down on the desk or put it inside your pocket. In these actions, the desk and your pocket cloth covers the proximity sensor, thus switching off your display. It’s all automatic. The tweak is a must try, if you are keen to save your battery juice. The Always On Proximity tweak can be download for free from the Cydia BigBoss repo.
