The German Luxury car maker BMW is all set to launch its Sports Utility Vehicle X6 SUV in India 2009. BMW is the first to bring such a SUV to market. BMW X6 SUV is a perfect car for entertainment as well as professional. BMW X6 comes in 2 basic models, “X-Drive 35i” and X-Drive 50i.
The Difference between the two models are: X-Drive 35i has a 300 horsepower engine for great speed and agility. Whereas X-Drive 50i beats X-35i for its extreme engine power and enhanced accelerating potentials. The X-Drive 50i has a new-twin-turbo 4.4 litre V8 engine, with 400 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 446 pound-feet of torque between 1750 rpm and 4500 rpm. The sprint to 62 mph takes just 5.4 seconds and fuel economy is estimated at around 19 mpg (U .S. gallons).
Compared to X5, X6 is longer and lower than the new X5, the previous BMW series.
The BMW X6 will be likely priced between Rs. 65 – 70 lakhs.
BMW India President, peter Kronschnabl said in a statement: “We Will introduce X6 and a new seven series model by the end of the month which will be imported as a completely built unit. But we are also looking to introduce a 730 diesel model by April-May which will be priced lower”.
