Fujitsu Siemens Launches Esprimo 7935 ‘Zero-Watt’ PC

Fujitsu Siemens plans to debut “esprimo 7935 PC” which it calls as a ‘Zero-watt’ PC in the middle of the year.

Computers, like most electronics, cosume a very small amount of energy even when switched off because of losses in the transformeer or sensors that remain active for functions such as remote power-on, whereas Fujitsu Siemens claims “esprimo 7935 PC” an enterprise desktop computer cosumes no energy when switched off, said at the cebit trade fair in Hanover, Germany. Typically when a PC is switched off, 1 watt and 4 watts of power is consumed, said Fujitsu Siemens.

The Esprimo 7935 packs a system that achieves zero consumption without pulling the plug, said Lothar Lechtenberg, a spokesman for the company.
