India’s Cheapest Android Tablet Aakash 2 to be made in China?

Aakash 2 – The World’s cheapest Android tablet to be made in china for 42 US dollars, which is about Rs. 2263 in India. The Indian government will pay the subsidies of Rs 1,130 ($21) and the tablet will be sold under the student scheme. According to the reports from Hindustan Times, Data Wind expected to get the device manufactured from the China firm for a price of 42 US dollars and will be sold to Indian government at the same price.

The report also includes the DataWind’s deal for 10,000 A-13 tablets from the manufactures in Shenzhen and Hong Kong during the month of October. The tablets were shipped without any duty fees, because they were meant for the educational purposes.

The earlier version of Aakash was not up to the mark and the country now banks on the next version of tablet with the Chinese tag on it.
