Change the default Lockscreen animation using LiveWire Cydia tweak

Updated on September 1, 2017

If you wish to change to the default Lockscreen animation of your iDevice, then LiveWire might impress you. A new cydia app aims to replace the default unlocking animation with a simple and awesome “Sliding Doors” animation without causing any lag. LiveWire doesn’t come with a settings panel and features only one animation. It means, LiveWire might not be comparable to apps like PaperLock and Unlockize, but it is really cool. Once the tweak is enabled, the animation comes into effect when you move the unlock slider. Most of Lockscreen based animation tweaks might disturb the look of unlock slider, but LiveWire kept the lock screen undisturbed. During the animation, the lock screen splits to show Springboard or the app you were using before locking the device.

LiveWire works even while the device is passcode protected, but with a little bug. I mean, instead of showing the view behind the lock screen, LiveWire displays a blank area at the center of the screen. Apart from these minor glitches, the tweak really has an awesome animation. LiveWire can work on both the iOS 5 and 6 based devices and can be downloaded from BigBoss repo of Cydia.
