The Moto G is most talked about phone in the US. But do you know the reason why? To know, continue reading this article. Moto G is a phone which is assembled in the US much similar to the Moto X. It also comes within it a set of customisable options which is also known as the Moto Maker. The Moto Maker helps you to create your own Moto phone which you can select from a wide range of available options. The Moto G comes with a 4.5″ screen and a pixel resolution of 720×1280 which gives a pixel density of 326 ppi. There is an option of 8/16 GB on board but is not expandable as there is no card slot. It comes with a Quad core 1.2GHz SnapDragon 400 chipset. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP. The Moto G comes with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and is upgradeable to 4.4 KitKat.

Now on to the main reason why the Moto G is very talked about. It is because the people who made the phone have competitively priced the phone. The phone cost for building was $123 and the phone goes on sale for $199 which is a profit of just about 5%. Motorola is bold doing that and many companies like Samsung and Apple feel the pressure of such a move. Apple enjoys a profit percentage of 30-35% on its iPhone 5S and 5C, whereas Samsung enjoys 20% on its mid range devices and about 28% on couple of its high end devices. This move is heavily affecting Samsung as it has many devices in the mid range. Go Moto!
