Let’s upgrade to the virtual world with Samsung’s new Milk VR

Updated on January 11, 2015

We all dig the unreal. It is liberating and the prospect of being transported into a different world without having to die is thrilling. We all love to jaunt down the road which has no sense of permanency to it. This road is an experience with which one cannot be tied down for a long period of time. Deep, right? I know! But then, so is Milk VR for Gear VR.

If you haven’t been following this or any tech blog (If I were you I would opt for this instead of the others. Wink. Wink) with utmost dedication, then you probably might have missed the news of the advent of a new world which would soon take a lead.

Say hello, to the unreal which is seemingly real-the world of Virtual World just took a step forward with the launch of Samsung Gear VR.

But then, there isn’t anything new about it. Apple did the same few months ago. A step forward was taken in the past. Yes, this means you have been walking abreast with the world of tech. But, it inched a little ahead just over a month back by launching Milk VR.

Strange choice of name, I know! But, you’d eventually get a hang of it, don’t you worry. Milk VR’s job is much more fancier than it’s mundane name. People at Samsung realized handing down the masses a headset (Gear VR) and a phone (Galaxy Note 4) isn’t sufficient. Question like-what do I even watch on it? Is it fun? How do I know what I am about to view is fun? needs to be answered, for which Samsung came up with Milk VR service. It a library which lets one browse (Yippee! We all love browsing).

How do you use it? This thing looks giant and complicated. It’s easy to use. So easy, it would probably remind you of your kaleidoscopic binocular days. Put on your headset, keep your Galaxy Note 4 at hand, the first thing to meet your eye would be the curved walls of a virtual room which is plastered with choices. You can navigate by way of using the trackpad incorporated right on your Gear VR. Once you like something, the gaze detection would know where you are looking and then, tap select on the trackpad. And then? Enjoy!

Where do I get Milk from? Oculus Store.Whats’s that? Once you get your hand on the Gear VR you would know (hint-It’s what Google Play is for Android and App Store is for  iPhone). What do I even watch on Gear VR? You can experience falling off a cliff and diving into the deep. See a western band perform and a fiesta at its peak. Watch, decide, buy! Milk VR would let you do all this and many more.
