Sony’s ECO-Friendly HDTV – Sony BRAVIA VE5 Series

Sony has launched his new environment friendly or eco friendly HDTV to market. Sony Bravia VE5-series has different versions of which 52-inch KDL-52VE5, the 46-inch KDL-46VE5 and the 40-inch KDL-40VE5. All these versions are based on their size. The technology used in this series is HCFL, which will helps to reduce power consumption by almost 40 percent compared to other company’s HDTV. The feature a light sensor that will automatically adjust the backlight depending on ambient room light. This setting saves energy and improves image contrast by lowering the backlight. These models also features:

Also has Motionflow of 120Hz technology, which will improve the sharpness of fast moving pictures.

 

This all new Bravia has a zero-watt standby energy saving switch. When not in use, the standby switch can also be manually turned off, which will cut power to nearly zero watts. This energy saving switch is first time implemented on these all new VE5 series.
