Sony Xperia Z Ultra Review

Updated on September 1, 2017

Sony has released its latest phablet. The Xperia Z Ultra. The screen size is maxed out at 6.4″. The Z Ultra is the latest device to the Z lineup. The Z Ultra is a very huge device and is very much bigger than the Galaxy Mega 6.3″ as well. A 0.1″ makes a huge difference. This is the maximum screen size up to which a phone can be called a phablet and after which it becomes a tablet. The Xperia Z Ultra is definitely pushing the limits. Here is a size comparison.

The Xperia Z features a great design. The Omni Balance. It is dust proof and water resistant. The phablet can take underwater photos without a stammer and can easily match the clarity of that taken over water. But do make sure you don’t have any holes or leave the water tight caps open as they may lead to damaging the device and eventhough Sony says its water resistant, the term sure can be misleading at times and you should know that the term was coined under some experimental conditions. The device may be out of warranty or its warranty void if you try some stunts like that and you have to pay extra money for the damage you have caused to the device. The Xperia Z Ultra builds on the Xperia Z and is thinner than the Z. The front side of the device features the 6.4″ (diagonally measured) screen. The device has on screen capacitive buttons.  It has the pre latest version of Jelly Bean. (4.2.2). Sony has made the screen so sensitive that you can use any pencil even to write on the device and the device will recognize it seamlessly. The left side of the device features the microUSB connection. Other than that, it is bare. The bottom has the bar codes of the phone and no buttons there. The right side of the phone has the power button and below that is the volume rocker. There is no camera button as in the Xperia C. The Xperia ZU is an amazing device and is sure not to disappoint you in terms of processing power and other things as well. It has a Quad Core processor with 2.2Ghz frequency. There is also 2GB of RAM on board and 16GB internal memory and 64GB expandable. The screen is multi touch and is scratch resistant (up to 10 fingers allowed). If you have enough money for the ZU then go and get it and it is sure to be a style statement. Here are some pics for your liking:
