3D Print from your Smartphone – Cube Home 3D Printer for $1000
3D Systems unveiled its new third generation Cube home 3D printer at CES 2014 in Las Vegas, which could be easily the cheapest plug and play 3D printer in the world. Yes, the price of the printer is set to be under $1000. According to the reports from CES floor, Cube 3 allows you to print from your smartphone via Cubify 2.0 app; which is available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone. The app comes with features that allow users to search for ideas, save ideas, prepare and print directly from any smartphone.
Cube 3D allows you to print in two materials; PLA and ABS Plastic and supports up to 25 colours. You can also select lite, medium and solid print mode fill density.
Cube 3 takes care of all safety requirements and makes it safe for both the kids and adults. It also comes with instant load cartridges, which is more easy than replacing ink cartridge. According to the reports, the printer will hit the market during second quarter and will cost less than $1000.
