Nissan Micra Active XE vs Chevrolet Beat 1.2 PS vs Honda Brio E MT – A showdown

Introducing the first contestant- The Nissan Micra Active XE

The Nissan Micra Active XE variant is the base of all the other variants. There are four variants with XV being the highest and XE the lowest. The XE variant comes with Manual transmission and is Petrol based. It gives a mileage of 16.24kmpl in the city and a mileage of 19.2kmpl on the highways. The power output is around 67.1bhp at 5000rpm. It is available in many color options.

The Next contestant is the Chevrolet Beat 1.2 PS

The Chevrolet beat is a 5-door hatchback similar to the Nissan Micra Active XE. This is the PS version of beat. It features an 1.2L Petrol Engine with Single Over Head Cam (SOHC). It gives a mileage of about 15.2kmpl on normal road with traffic and 18.6kmpl on the highway with practically no traffic around. The power output is around 79.4bhp at 6200rpm SmarTech engine.

The last but not the least, the third contestant- Honda Brio E MT 

The Brio is a Manual Transmission, a petrol variant. It gives a 16.2kmpl on the road and 19.4kmpl on the highways. The maximum power output given by the engine is 86.8bhp. the engine is a 1.2L 16V SOHC i-VTEC. The brio is clearly the winner in terms of the mileage.

The Brio is clearly the winner. Though the price is a bit high, priced at 4.15lakhs (ex-showroom price). With additional costs indicating to the RTO and Insurances the price is expected to hit the 5lakh mark.
