Wear this gesture control Armband to interact with Technology using Fingers & Hand

Thalmic Labs has innovated an Armband that is wearable on your arm (above the elbow) to control real world applications using gestures. The armband called “MYO” will allow you to control and interact with technology or applications like iTunes. To control the apps, you have to just swipe using your fingers, fold your fingers together, lift and lower your hand etc…Well, actually there are many such gestures…

The armband can control real world applications like webpages to scroll up and down using your hand. For instance, to scroll up, you will have to just lift your hand and to scroll down, just lower your hand. You can swipe left and right with two fingers to switch between desktop applications. The Next Web reports, the user can stop a track played in iTunes by clenching his hand and can increase the volume by twisting his wrist in a circular motion.

MYO will connect with other devices via Bluetooth and works similar to Microsoft’s Kinect peripheral; which was designed for Xbox 360 console. What’s interesting with MYO is, it does not require a camera, but uses the electrical activity generated by the human arm.
