Nikon 300s DSLR traveled to the edge of space in helium balloon!

Its not just the space has seen the astronauts, but it has got an opportunity to see Nikon 300s DSLR camera. Nikon D300s was sent to the edge of space in a more unexpected way, in helium balloon. The tech students Erich Leeth and Terry Presley launched this mission with the help of a 22 foot helium balloon. The camera was fixed to the helium balloon with a Tokina 11-66mm f/2.8 lens.  The lens was put into a beer cooler purchased from the local Walmart. The camera expected to have reached the height of 1,00,000 ft. The craft journey started at 9:02 am and landed after 2 hours in a parachute.
