Nokia releases a Motion tracking app for the Lumia 1520 (Beta)

Nokia is all set to go big and this time with what the other companies have for a long time. Especially Samsung. The Finnish company has been doing its homework and after the GDR3 update from Microsoft, it is sure to rejoice. Nokia is doing what it can do to boost up its Lumia range of lineup. It is offering exclusive goodies to its range of lineup and is outperforming its competition be it in Windows Phone or Android. Android I say because, the services and the support offered cannot be matched by any Android releasing manufacturer (aka the timely updates).

Its Lumia 1520 being a Quad core device and being the first phablet deserves some special treatment from the company and is getting it. It is getting a motion tracking app which is still in development and in the beta stages and might take a while to come into the store. It should be here by early 2014. The app doesn’t need any toggling, runs in the background and runs efficiently as well. Efficiently meaning as there are four cores, one core will take up the job of the Motion tracking and will also help in lesser power consumption. Here is a statement from Nokia.

"The Timeline is where your daily activity is recorded. Here you can see when you were moving, how intense the activity was and your total step count. The Events view gives you insights into your motion and summaries of your day, while the Week and Month views will help you discover if there are any patterns to your movement. The more you keep your phone with you, the better the data will be.”

Head on to the Nokia Beta labs if you have a Nokia Lumia 1520. This should also be present on other quad core Lumias soon enough.

Note: This product is in beta and its working is unpredicted. Try this at your own risk and Techglimpse.com is in any way NOT responsible if you brick your Lumia.
