Economic turmoil helps job sites to grow high

Due to the economic turmoil, job losses are not new. But, this recession helps the job searching websites to grow high. More people are registering in job searching & career development websites, even if they are still employed, a new study says.

Nielsen Online reported that it found 20 percent of increase in unique visitors to job searching & career development websites. Moreover unemployment rate was 7.6 percent during last month, which is the highest in last 16 years.

Chuck Schilling, the director for Nielsen research agency said, “People are worried about their jobs“. And added that, “Even, if they are employed they are worried about it“.

Career Builder, the website owned by Microsoft Corp and Yahoo Inc HotJobs site are most popular among them and followed by Monster.com
