With LG HomeChat you can interact smart appliances via SMS! [CES 2014]

Another interesting news from LG! And this is called the “LG Home Chat” which enables interaction with ‘the machines’ and humans. Using Home Chat users can control their home appliances via simple text messages or commands through the popular Line app. The app can send natural language commands to LG’s 2014 Smart Appliance lineup, meaning you can control the appliance wherever you are! Excited? Yeah, the idea is sure to be delight to women!

How HomeChat Works?

For better understanding, lets see a few examples-

If you are in a vacation and you are texting “I’m on a vacation’, the gadget turns on an automatic response “Should I turn the vacation mode on?” and if you reply “ON”, the app will instruct the refrigerator to stay on in power-saving mode. Easy Isn’t?

As for washing machines, there are wash cycles to be downloaded by the users, in case of vacuum cleaners they can be pre-programmed to clean the house at regular intervals, as for the microwaves- they suggest recipies to be done! And with fridge, you can see the items inside the fridge without opening them and also get recipe suggestions with the available items.

In future, I wish my microwave oven and fridge to negotiate and make food without my intervention! LG Home Chat is one of the easiest,smattest and coolest gadget and soon it will be shown off at CES 2014, its sure to be a hit like the LG’s CES 2013 Smart Kitchen lineup,stay tuned!
