Android wear announced by Google : Get ready to Style your watches
Android wear is like a project that is expanding Android OS to mobile devices! Naturally, as Android was not before fit for smart watches, this lead to Samsung choosing Tizen for its watches- the Gear 2 and the Gear 2 Neo.
Google is taking it seriously and is making an OS which is actually smart for the smart watches. Here are the things that the Android wear will do for you.
- Live updates- The watch shows you info and suggestions when you want them the most. All the android apps are to be supported and hence you’ll receive news about particularly everything.
- Voice commanding- You speak to the watch with “Ok google”. This watch is also always listening making it the perfect pair with Moto X.
- Monitoring fitness and health- The watch will help you keep fit by giving alarms at regular intervals (if you set any) on when you have to hit the gym and the number of calories you have burnt while at the gym (using 3rd party applications)
- Remote Control- The watch lets you control other devices and hence can be useful for remote control, particularly when you need a bigger screen and cannot work from the smaller screen.

LG and Motorola are on their way of making their own Andro-wear. The above video actually shows the Motorola Moto 360 (the round one) and LG (the square one). A developer preview is available. Developers can use this to tweak their applications to also work with wear. Here is the developer preview on what the wear can be.
Google has actually partnered with a large number of manufacturers like HTC, Asus, LG and Samsung, and the chipmakers include Broadcom, Imagination, Intel and so on. LG announced the G watch which actually went official few minutes after the announcement of Android Wear. Motorola announced the Moto 360 after the announcement of Android wear. The watch is said to come with a round dial design and is made with premium materials that will make you look rich. The watch shows a time screen when it is off making you think you have a regular watch on your wrist. When you turn on the display or by rotating your wrist, you can see who called or emailed you! The smartwatch comes with Google Now integration, and will be available across the globe starting from the US, this summer.
