Get the rotating planets on your wrist – Midnight Planétarium Poetic Complication Watch
Who does not like to gaze up for the stars? Once been a childhood dream to reach for the stars always has turned to be a scientific search later on! That’s why we like to go to the planetarium or have lot of interest to look at the eclipses when they happen. And this spectacular new astronomical watch is going to bring the child inside you to action!
Van Cleef & Arpel’s new designer astronomical watch, the 44mm Midnight Planétarium Poetic Complication, shown at Geneva’s annual Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, shows numerical time and the rotation of planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn), visible from Earth. All the planets are depicted by precious and semi-precious stones(red jasper to serpentine and turquoise). A classy black alligator leather strap holds the planetarium dial. And yes, the rotation is timed logical and you can see that Venus completes the rotation around the Sun(center stone) in 244 days, Earth in a year, Saturn in 29 years and so on.
The fancy designer watch has other interesting features like the “Lucky Day” and a shooting star that rotates along the outermost area of the face to tell the time.
