BMW M6 Gran Coupe – A class of its own.

The BMW M6 Gran Coupe gets a remake and is in a class of its own. A number of additional features increase the BMW M6 Gran Coupe’s performance to a majestic level. It is facilitated with a large 10.2 inch screen which shows high resolution map details with extensive live traffic coverage. Some cars driven on an extremely twisty road makes you feel like you are having a roller coaster ride, but with M6 only enjoy a smooth silky drive! The Gran Coupe, the four-door version of the 6 Series, has a beautifully styled body. Although only 5 inches longer than the standard 6 Series coupe, the Gran Coupe presents an elongated, sleek look which is an added beauty.

To simplify things, BMW fixes two programmable M buttons on the steering wheel. The two M button finishes all the major performance work of the car. It is far better than all the normal settings present in other cars. The M6’s throttle control can be set between Efficient, Sport, and Sport Plus. BMW notes that this is the first M engine to use its Valvetronic system, individually controlling each intake valve and doing away with a conventional throttle body.

Efficient, Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus Settings

Efficient setting : All the power becomes extremely controllable, with even a quick quarter-pedal push on the gas leading to a very gentle forward push and nothing more. Any slight push on gas pedal may react to the engine.

Comfort mode: The smoothness of the drive is hardly felt as the stiffness is still present.

Sport mode: This mode is ideal for the racers.

Sport Plus mode : The adaptive dampers make it even more strictly stiff, in turn keeping the tyres firmly in contact with the pavement for maximum traction in the turns.

The M6’s steering rig uses hydraulic fluid pressurized with an electric pump, allowing BMW to implement another set of Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus settings.

Another addition in the technology performance is the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, what BMW calls it as DCT. Though the car has its own hard options, it has great control maintenance. Despite of its high cost, the craze for BMW will never fade away.
