Is Connected Racquet the future of Tennis? – Babolat Play! [CES 2014]
The connected technology comes to Tennis Racquet too! Babolat, the firm known for racquets, unveiled the Babolat Play at CES 2014. Notably, Babolat Play is world’s first connected tennis racquet. Thinking why a tennis racquet has to be connected?! Well, Babolat Play has sensors which can collect data about the swing power, endurance and ball impact. All these information can help the players to analyse the gameplay and improve areas where they are lagging behind.
The companion app(available for Android and iOS) gets all these data and helps you analyze the gameplay better. It shows you graphs of game progression and gives a detailed overview of past sessions. Is it not nice to know when you break a personal record or even an international one effortlessly?
The app also allows you to compare the performance to the rest of the Babolat Play community!
Babolat, had been working with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and ITF recently modified the rules of tennis, and now allows players use analysis technologies during official competitions.
