Mercedes Benz E 200 vs Audi A6 2.0 TFSI – A Battle between the giants!
Mercedes Benz and Audi have released some superb vehicles and we can’t help, but let them face one on one. We are here discussing about the key differences of the two Mercedes Benz E200 and Audi A6 2.0 TFSI.Let it rip!!!
Audi A6 vs Mercedes Benz: Interiors
The Mercedes Benz E 200 and Audi A6 TFSI are the latest models and that is why they are here for the battle. From the front seats, it is very hard to decide. The Audi A6 has beautiful interiors which has a cabin really modern as it is attractive, has technical dials, a big screen for MMI system and Audi’s signature dashboard.
The doors of the Audi A6 are light weight (made of aluminium) and the wooden fitting on the dashboard does not give much look. It is pretty much standard looking. The paddle shifters don’t feel that great and have a plastic feel to them, whereas in the E Series, there is a traditional dashboard, a smaller COMAND system (small screen) but there is the Mercedes Feel in every element possible which seems to be made from one block of metal.
Audi A6 vs Mercedes Benz: Seats
Moving on to the rear seats E200 has an advantage with better thigh support, a higher seating position and an optimally angled backrest when compared to the low seating position, an upright position and slight lack of thigh support doesn’t win points.
Audi A6 vs Mercedes Benz: Reverse camera, Climate control, Cost
The Audi A6 is actually Tech packed and comes with LED headlamps, controls for the front passenger seat at the rear, reverse camera, BOSE sound system, four zone climate control, air suspension with raise function and Bluetooth connectivity, whereas the Mercedes comes with a 3 zone climate control, reverse parking sensors, sunroof, powered seats and MBs security technology like PRE-SAFE and NECK-PRO. The Audi A6 with all the features cost about Rs. 48.53 lakhs and the Benz E200 is available at a price of Rs. 42. 9 lakh. The A6 without the tech features is available for a cost of Rs. 41. 95 lakhs.
Audi A6 vs Mercedes Benz: Engine
Under the hood, both the cars are powered by 2.0L engine. There is also a 3.0L version of the A6 available, but comparing that to this version of Benz will be a little unfair. The Audi comes with a TFSI (Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection) which is a type of forced aspiration where the fuel is pressure injected straight to the combustion chamber. The Mercedes Benz comes with CGI option (Charged gasoline Injection) which is a direct gasoline injection. The Audi A6 and E200 can speed from 0-100 in under 10 seconds, 9.2 seconds for the Audi and 9.5 seconds for E200. The A6 has 177bhp, 32.6 kg-m of torque and 1565 kg kerb weight whereas E200 comes with 184bhp, 30.6 kg-m of torque and 1660 kg kerb weight.
Both these cars are awesome and seems good to be true in the price range. If you have a few bucks to spare, go in for any one of them. We don’t say one is better over the other as these are some of the differences that we felt and it is up to you to choose the car of your choice.
Here are some pics of the two cars.
