Google Plus reaches 40 million users over a quick time than facebook!

Google+, the social networking service launched by Google on June 2011 is well ahead of Facebook in terms of reaching more number of users over a period of time. Google plus has reached 40 million users in less time than Facebook. Facebook was launched in 2004 and it took almost 3 years to reach the mark of 25 million users and reached 50 million users in the month of october 2007.

Though the numbers had put Google well ahead of Facebook, but the time when these social networking site has been launched has to be considered. The time when Facebook was launched no major social networking site were around except Myspace. But the time when Google plus was launched, people were well aware of social networking and its use. So it was easy for Google plus to attract more users than Facebook.

But to beat Facebook in the social networking arena, Google Plus really has a long way to go. Its not the matter of getting users connected, but it all matters how long they stay connected!. Lets wait and watch the way Google plus takes a boom in coming years.
