Hatchbacks that will hit the Indian roads by 2015
The hatchback is the most important and developing segment of the automobile industry. The upcoming year will have hatchbacks from Tata, Honda, Maruti, Volkswagen etc. The following year will be the year when most of the manufacturers would step forward to get in to the market their own hatchback to get their share of the market.
TATA NANO TWIST ACTIVE
This is the upped version of the Tata Nano twist. Pretty much opposite to what Nissan has done with the Micra by introducing the Micra Active. The Nano Twist Active comes with a mild facelift and revamped interiors and other minor changes. The new Nano would be sure to bring in the AMT gearbox which is the trend right now with car manufacturers. Maruti brought AMT with its Celerio and the newly launched Alto K10.

DATSUN Redi GO
The DATSUN brand by Nissan is all ready to expand its GO series of vehicles. This time it is the futuristic and muscular Redi Go. With the lines and creases around its body, the Redi GO is sure an awe inspirer. Unveiled in the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, this vehicle is a cross between a hatchback and a SUV and intends to please customers from both the segments.

The Redi Go will be powered by a three cylinder, 800cc engine which is expected to be priced around the 4 lakh price mark and so is expected to be a tough competitor to the Alto 800.
Tata Kite
Going by the name of this car, it is expected to fly high. It is also a cross over but between hatchback and the compact sedan. It follows in the footsteps of the Zest and Bolt and will be on step above the Nano. It is speculated to be a revamp of the Indica hatchback. Tata with its new design is starting to impress me.

Tata Bolt
This is also an Indica facelift featuring the new Tata Design 1.0. The Bolt is pretty much like the Zest without the protruding boot. It comes with the Harman and Me infotainment system and all the goodies that come with the top variants of the Zest but with a lesser price tag. Under the hood, the Bolt is powered by the 1.2L Revotron Engine(Petrol Variant) and also the 74bhp Quadrajet Diesel engine (Diesel Variant)

Ford Figo
The new Ford Figo will actually be the Ford Ka. This model was released as Ka in Brazil. The car is rather muscular and looking at the front grille, I sure can’t take my eyes off of it. But in the rear is where the design is gone wrong. If you are familiar with the latest automobiles, at one glance, the Ford Figo will surely look like a Datsun Go but unless you focus on the redesigned “flat” Ford Logo, sheer beauty is sure to go a waste.
