An interesting replacement for headphones – HeadFoams for the restless kids!
Gone are the days where gadgets were for adults and adolescents. Kids used to play happily with their video games, but are now well equipped with cellular phones, iPods, tablets and the like. (Whether they comprehend as much as an adult or an adolescent is still a mystery!) Many companies that have recognized this and have expanded their business by creating tech exquisitely for kids. In any case, audio in the form of music and sound effects have become an inevitable part of children, mostly in the form of games and animated videos. All of us have always yelled at kids to turn the volume down. Some of us have even gone the extra mile to buy them a headphone to keep our cool.
Tablets, phones and other gadgets have been improvised to make them kid-proof. With enhanced plastic/glass/metal frames and covers and cases, all the display-related gadgets have been protected effectively from damage. The problem with buying kids a headphone is very obvious. Unlike most other gadgets, these are damaged easily. With a plastic frame that bends, kids can accidently and easily bend and break it. Dropping and squashing the headphones would do the trick as well.
MarBlue has proposed an innovative solution to this. The foam headphones that are being produced by them are the world’s first of its kind. It can withstand bending, squashing, dropping and just about anything else a kid can throw at them. They are designed with the fact in mind that kids heads could be of various sizes, therefore, there is a soft snap in the extension for ease of fitting. These headphones can be bought for USD 39.99 which are available in three colours, namely blue, orange and purple.
These foam headphones which are creatively named HeadFoams are made fit and safe for kids. They are made from a single piece of BPA-free EVA foam which means that it is difficult or even near impossible to break them by dropping them. Even twisting and bending will not damage the wires and other electronics that are cushioned inside the body of these HeadFoams.
But how healthy is it to arm your kids with headphones in a very young age? We already know that headphones for a long duration and loud volumes are deleterious to even a totally healthy person. Further considering this threat to the young ears, HeadFoams have designed a limiter which restricts the sound to the level of 85 decibels. In any case, a strong education must be provided to kids to limit their duration of using HeadFoams or any other headphone.
