Huawei’s Ascend Mate 2 4G can be an iPhone charger too [CES 2014]
Huawei is set to unveil Ascend Mate 2 which is a 6.1-inch device with 720p IPS panel at CES 2014. This 4G tablet will have two options for its quad-core 1.6GHz SoC: Qualcomm’s MSM8928, or Huawei’s HiSilicon Cortex-A9 chip.
The tablet features a fixed 4,050mAh battery and Huawei claims that the device will be up and steady for 60 hours of “normal use” and 12 hours of web surfing. Apart from this, Ascend Mate can also be used to charge other devices.
The Mate 2 will have 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage(of-course user expandable) and a pair of cameras – 13 megapixels on the front, 2.0 on the back. Mate 2 is powered by Huawei’s Emotion UI 2.0 which runs on top of Android 4.3.
You can expect Mate 2 in the US from March 2014. The pricing details are not known yet! Keep an eye on this space for updates!
