Bicymple, a new Bicycle design without chains

A new Kickstarter project called “Bicymple”, designed by Josh Bechtel is a simplified Bicycle with no chains. Bicymple is an ordinary bike, with two wheels, handle bars and pedals, but no chains. The concept replaces the chain that runs from rear wheel to the crankset the pedals are directly mounted to the rear axle. The concept reduces the number of moving parts and complex design.

The bicymple is very comfortable, easy to ride and simple to maintain. The cycle also comes with an optional rear-steer mode that allows tighter turns and “crab-riding”. Currently the project is in Kickstarter and has raised more than $16 thousand dollars with 54 days remaining.
