Metro PCS unveils Motorola VE440
Dallas based Metro PCS is among the popular CDMA cellular service providers of the USA. It serves around 6 million mobile users in areas like Nevada, California, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Florida etc. It has become famous for offering unlimited minutes in its calling plans. Its handsets are mainly targeted at the budget users though some high end Smartphone and touch screen models are also available. Recently the company has unveiled a new handset for its customers, the Motorola Ve440. It is a candy bar model with stylish looks and decent features. However, it does not come with any game which is a standard feature with most of the models in the market.
The VE440 offered by MetroPCS comes at a cost of $129 and $89, for the limited edition and the regular edition variety. It is neither too light nor too bulky and the users will have no problem in carrying it around in their pockets. Motorola has provided a micro USB slot for data transfer in the model. The inclusion of a standard 3.5 mm jack means the users can plug in the headset of their choice. The camera has a 1.3 MP camera that is not actually meant for the serious photographers. However, in daylight it gets the job done. The memory slot is not hot swappable hence you need to remove the battery to access the memory slot. The phone support a maximum of 8 GB memory card.
The Metro PCS VE40 is clearly meant for the budget users. It scores well in the performance department though and is pretty user-friendly. The Motorola VE440 will be available in the third quarter of this year.
