Micromax launches Smarty A65, dual SIM phone running Android Gingerbread

Micromax, the growing mobile giant in India has launched a new smartphone called “Smarty A65”, which runs Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. The smartphone is now available for sale in India for Rs. 4,999. It sports dual SIM slots, 4.3 inch TFT screen with a pixel resolution of 480 x 800 with the density of 217 ppi. The phone is powered by 1GHz ARM Cortex A-5 processor, 512MB RAM, but with a very less internal storage of 190MB; of course it is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD.

On the connectivity side, it features EDGE, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth. Smarty A65 is powered by 1350mAh battery that can sustain up to 5 hours of talk time on 2G and 205 hours on standby.

The device also features 2 megapixel rear camera with a CMOS sensor, multi-shot mode, night vision, brightness level and image editor. In the front side, it comes with an 0.3 megapixel camera.
