Microsoft to support Android sideloading in Windows 8.1 devices?
The Nokia X was thought to be a device that Nokia was releasing before the Microsoft acquisition of Nokia, but this now came about in effect for real. The Nokia X or the Normandy is a device which runs Android but it is actually designed to act like a Windows phone. Its a cross between Android, WP and an Asha.
Microsoft is also thinking of sideloading Android apps to its existing WP range of devices. The update may come with the 8.1 or that is what we are expecting. This move, is sure to strengthen the OS and to make the troll “No apppppzz and gamezzzz” a goner for a lifetime. Also, it will help the platform get major apps which are also the popular ones missing in the OS. Although, WP has its fair share of games and apps like the Where’s my Water from Disney, Instagram, etc. The app availability is not as fast as it is in its Android counterpart.
Microsoft like Jolla will provide a separate store for running Android apps and this means that the internals of the WP 8.1 are to be changed or overhauled completely. Wait for more info.
