Mozilla released Firefox v3.0.6 with fixing six bugs, majorly of security and stability issues in the web browser.
Firefox 3.0.6, fixes the javascript issues affecting the browser’s layout engine that developers labeled as critical. The vulnerability, which also affects Mozilla’s Thunderbird e-mail client and SeaMonkey internet suite, could allow an attacker to run unauthorized code on exploited machines, Mozilla said.
The update also improves how scripted commands, such as those included with adblock Plus, work with plug-ins and addresses display issues, Mozilla said.
67.55% of global browser market share is occupied by internet explorer and Mozilla’s Firefox is chipping in to break the market dominance by internet explorer. But there is a 7% drop over last year according to figures from web metrics company net applications. Meanwhile, for Mozilla’s firefox browser, a gain of 3% to 21.53% over the last year.
