MWC 2014 : Here is what Lenovo unveiled – Yoga 10 HD+, S series of lineup.

Lenovo is a Chinese manufacturer which recently got the American brand – Motorola. All the manufacturers who buy another company are allowing free use of the rivaling company name but the profit is for the company who bought the company. Very neat indeed! Lenovo entered the Mobile World Congress with three smartphones and one tablet. The devices and the details of the devices are as follows:

Lenovo S860 Smartphone

The S group of lineup is known for its price range, affordability and the MediaTek Chipset. The Lenovo S860 comes with a 5.3″ IPS LCD Display of 720p resolution and a MediaTek chipset clocked at quad core 1.3GHz. The camera at the rear is an 8MP and the one in the front is a 1.6MP. The main thing about the device is its battery which is a 4000mAh battery capable of reverse charging other devices as well. The back is curved a little and the phone comes in an aluminium body. The right side of the device like a Lumia feature the volume keys and the power button.

The Lenovo S850 is the mid rnage version of the S860 but comes with a wide range of features. The first one is the 12MP camera the back and to compete with the Canvas 4, the front is clocked at 5MP. But the downside is the screen which is a 5″ IPS LCD. The phone is powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek. Another interesting thing is the logo of the device which is placed above an LED which will light up in different colors depending on the notification.

Lenovo S660 Smartphone

The Lenovo S660 is like another S860 and imitates it s build quality, but there is a difference. It comes with a clamp which is used to clamp the phone to your pocket. It also can be used as a desktop stand. The device uses a 1.3GHz MediaTek Processor again and this time the screen is 4.7″ IPS LCD Display. All the devices come with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean which is a customized skin, and not the pure AOSP experience.

Yoga 10 HD+ Tablet

The Yoga 10 HD+ is an update over the existing Yoga 10 HD and updates the screen to Full HD i.e 1920×1080 pixels from the boring 1200×800 pixels. This one is also different in terms of the processor and doesn’t use the usual MediaTek Processor and instead relies on the SnapDragon 400 chipset. It also comes with 2GB RAM. The tablet will be available starting May 2014 and the price is around $350. There is also a keyboard attaching mechanism which gives you surface where you can type easily and not relying on the on screen keyboard. But the attaching mechanism is kind of cheap and not up to the level of Lenovo. We are quite disappointed in this aspect.
