Wrap your Nap in the arms of the luxuriously convenient Napwrap!
Remember that awkward nap in the car/airplane with your head bobbing all over the place whilst you tried to settle into a new and more comfortable posture every few minutes? Or those times when your hands always formed calluses after dragging that trolley bag all across the place? Well, seems that all these are soon going to be antiquated and things of the past, especially with the invention of this nifty and amazing new product NapWrap from SittingBridge.
Bruce Backer and Mona Dehshid, the guys behind the design firm SittingBridge which created NapWrap, conceived the product after experiencing discomfort, on a continuous basis, during their numerous travels across the globe. This resulted in them coming up with methods and mechanisms to make one feel more comfortable while travelling after extensively analyzing and observing the travel experiences of people. Thus, their product, NapWrap, primarily aims to help its users achieve a far more comfortable and relaxed position in the course of their travel.
The NapWrap at KickStarter indicates that they plan to tap over 1.5 billion global flyers and countless others who also travel by other means like trains, buses and cars as each involves its passengers to remain confined in constricted spaces for extended periods of time. Thus, they have already identified and earmarked an extremely large market for their unique and omnipotent product!
What is NapWrap?
SittingBridge currently markets NapWrap as a “personal armrest for those long, crowded and sleepless journeys”.
NapWrap helps you achieve positions of ease and comfort by providing support/holding your arms, thereby helping you rest better and avoid getting into scuffles over who gets the armrest. The compactness of it being as small as an armband helps make it all the more convenient and lightweight for travelling. Having been designed for use on both hands NapWrap helps you attain your own state of zen, even while travelling on arduous journeys like those on a Neeta bus from Bombay to Pune!
How does it Work?
This is the part which I personally love the best (due to the implied simplicity). Having been made from materials which help strike the perfect balance between comfort and strength, it wraps around one upper hand to provide support for the other hand, which ends up resting on top of the forearm. Check out the process in the photographs below –
Being made of bamboo velour on the inner side, NapWrap has no qualms stretching to match the distinct shape of your body. Moreover, the material appears extremely soft to feel and quite breathable too – thereby, ensuring that one does not feel itchy or sweaty even on wearing for contiguous periods of time. Similarly, the outer body of NapWrap exudes a light weight, breathable and soft feeling due to the 2 mm mesh used.
Seems that their sense of “Jugaad” has helped these quirky innovators also chance on a plethora of other different and fun uses for NapWrap. These are :
1. Pulling your baggage. Increase the fun. Decrease the effort.
This is probably as important an usage, in my esteemed opinion, as the main aim! Gone will be the days of calluses formed by dragging bags across the terminals and platforms with the advent of the nifty NapWrap.
2. Give EyeMasks a run for their money.
I’d choose this any day over any similar product, even from my personal favorite – M&S!
3. Hold your Phone Hands-Free!!
A superb use for all you fitness freaks out there!
4. Hair Bands / Earmuffs – think deeefferent!
Conclusion
This product is one of the few things in the world which has actually left me speechless. I’ll just recommend getting your scruffy little paws over this as well and that too ASAP! Sadly, Amazon does not deliver it yet, but wait for it, you never know!
P.S. yeah, you can purchase it from here for a price of US$20!
