NativeUnion showcases “Jump” – A combination of Cable with built-in Battery Charger [CES 2014]

NativeUnion a Californian company showed its combo cable/battery charger “Jump” at the CES 2014. The company says that it is the simplest ideas and those simple ideas are the best. Its a combination of Cable, Battery and Intelligent circuitry which makes Jump for simple charging and extra battery life on the go.

Jump appears to be a Lightning or micro-USB cable that goes through a little cable wrapper which is a 800mAh of battery pack for emergency use. To put in simple words, you can use Jump as a normal cable for charging your phone, and when the battery inside your smartphone is full, the efficient circuit prioritization detects and diverts the power to the Jump’s own battery. This eliminates the need for extra battery pack to be charged separately and a separate cable entirely!

The company says “JUMP is not just a charging cable; it also provides your smartphone with a substantial power boost wherever you are, without ever having to remember to charge it. Perfect for work, play, and travel. Unlike power banks, JUMP charges automatically every time you charge your phone, giving you complete reassurance that whatever situation you are in, there’s always power in your pocket.”

Jump weighs less than two AA batteries, provides up to 3 hours and 50 minutes of additional talk-time or web browsing which is an extra 1/3 charge; more than enough to get you out of your trouble. With 50mm x 50mm x 13.6mm dimension, it easily fits your coin pocket.

Being a Kickstarter project, you can pledge $35 for a pre-order. You may expect Jump to be shipped some time in May 2014 as it has to wait for another 35 days for funding from Kickstarter.
