Need For Speed – Undercover
The Need for Speed – Undercover, is the 12th and the latest offering in the popular computer racing game series from the Electronic Arts (EA). NFS – Undercover is a good makeover from its previous edition.
NFS – Undercover is a good makeover from its previous editions – NFS Prostreet and NFS Carbon. The critical theme in this edition is based on the user assuming a role of a police officer who is going undercover to nab the nasty criminals of the Tri-City. There are the street racers and car thieves who give a close shoulder to you in the race against the evil.
The video segments in this edition are fantastic with hot Maggie Q starring in them. The edition begins with the player in a busted-up Nissan 240sx, which is supposed to be a cover car for a street thug appointed to crack down a huge vehicle-hoisting ring.
Although the customizations for cars remains fairly common inline with the other NFS editions before, the Undercover introduces the ‘leveling’ as a new strategy. Successfully ending the missions will earn the players higher stats and points, which allows him to zoom up his driving skills as well. The higher the stats with successful missions, the more upgrades you get access to.
The list of vehicles in this edition is awful. A superb list of 55 cars including the much hyped Audi TT or Mitsubishi Evo X, and the extoics like Audi R8 and the Bugatti Veyron are in the offering.
NFS – Undercover is released in Nov 2008 on the PS2, PS3. It is also released on the XBox 360, Nintendo DS. The PC Edition is released on the Microsoft Windows platform.
