Give wings to your phone- Magic Phone Stand by Martinka

For those of you who are born in the 90’s (or, much before the era for that matter) the mention of the name “Harry Potter” would manage to break a dam of nostalgia within you. Many loved it, some abhorred it (I pity you), but none could ignore it while growing up. Our obsession with the magical world was such that it made J.K Rowling’s dream of raking in the moolah come true.

In retrospect, it all seems funny to me- the series which I tirelessly ravaged, the movies which I watched to draw in a comparison with the book, the posters which cluttered my wall and I am sure you have some amusing anecdotes of your own. Truth is we are all fixated with the unreal as reality is way too mainstream! We love to visualize a world of wands, invisible cloaks, flying tamable giant creatures, floating object…..screech….halt! Floating objects is not unreal; it is very much a real world phenomenon. Yeah! In the space. No, right on planet Earth with Mr. Gravity lurking around.

You’ve got to see it, to believe it. Martinka makes the fiction of floating technology come true in the form of ‘The Magic Phone Stand’.

Martinka? Magic Phone Stand? Floating Technology?

Stop blaberring, you’ve lost sanity!

It would initially seem so, but a look at it would leave you grasping for words. Martinka is the oldest magic shop in the United States of America established way back in 1877. The brain behind the Magic Phone Stand, John Stessel is known for his creations in the world of magic which are quite….errr…. magical, of course!

A charger which let's it fly
Defying gravity

But what in the world is a Magic Phone Stand?

It is a charger which very much charges one’s phone! Once the phone is plugged in, the phone goes up in the air, enjoying the freedom from the confiding bounds of gravity.

But, how does it even work with gravity and all?

Didn’t I say Martinka is one of the oldest magic shops in the States and didn’t I mention the name ‘Magic Phone Stand’?  A magician never parts with his tricks, you must know that! So, how it works is a hush-hush affair. What it looks like isn’t!

Customer’s reception

Who doesn’t like it fancy? Who doesn’t like to draw in collective gasps of surprise? We all do, so the customers have been raving about it since its launch.

They wanted a few changes to be brought about- screen orientation while it’s up in the air, minimizing the tug effect while it’s on charge and the like. The asked for it, they got it!
