Charge your iPhone while having a cup of coffee – onE Puck drink coaster

Well! We had seen plenty of portable iPhone chargers, but this one is quite different and unique. A new Kickstarter project called onE Puck designed by Epiphany Labs, is actually a drink coaster that makes use of the heat disparities from a hot coffee mug or cold beverage. Yes! the charger features a drink coaster that sits pretty happily below the hot coffee cup and lets you charge your iPhone, Android or any USB powered device. Interestingly onE Puck doesn’t feature any battery, but the coaster uses a shrunken down stirling engine to harness the hot/cold disparities into charging power. What you will have to do is, just place your drink down on the coaster, plug in your smartphone to the coaster via mini cable & relax!

The Epiphany’s onE Puck is a light weight portable charger for any device that uses USB charger drawing power less than 1000 mA or less. Currently the project is listed on crowd funding site Kickstarter and it is already gaining popularity by reaching the goal of $100,000 in less than ten days.
