Samsung announces two new ultrabooks – Ativ Book 9 Plus, ATIV Book 9 Lite

Samsung announced ATIV Book 9 Plus and ATIV Book 9 Lite ultrathin Windows 8 ultrabooks at its Galaxy & ATIV event in London.

The ATIV Book 9 Plus offers a 13.3-inch 3200 x 1800 qHD+ multi-touch display and the Book 9 Lite features a 13.3-inch 1366 x 768 touch display. It can support upto 8GB of RAM. It has intel HD Graphics 4400, a 256GB SSD. Coming to the design it is 13.6mm at its thickest point and the weight is 1.39kg. Samsung promises that the Book 9 Plus has cold boot time of less than six seconds and will have a battery life of 12 hours on full charge. It comes in Ash Black.

On the other hand, the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite is powered by an AMD A6 quad-core chip and it includes 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD. Samsung says 9 Lite will stand for 8.5 hours on a full charge. The ultrabook comes in Ash Black and white variants.

Both the ultrabooks will have Samsung’s SlideSync software on both devices. The availability or pricing for the new Book 9 ultrabooks is yet to be announced! Stay tuned.
