Samsung’s Patent reveals a Foldable Tablet design
Samsung showed off its ‘foldable tablets’ behind the closed doors at the Mobile World Conference. The commercial launch of the product might happen in 2015. As quoted by Korean media, the gadget will feature 8 to 9 inch HD OLED display and can be folded twice. The technology is to be extended to the smart phones too.
It’s interesting to see company’s are coming up with new features every other day. Samsung is not the first to come up with this idea, as the tri-fold design is being in the work by other manufacturers as well. But Samsung seems to release one before anyone grabs the market, that’s the next version of Galaxy Note phablet; which is expected to feature a three sided YOUM display and can be viewed in any angle.
The tri-folded gadgets are to make their way only in selected regions like Galaxy round. And at this stage it is unclear how the user interface is to be stitched on with the foldable display. And the other features are also kept secretive.
When the technology reaches market we need not carry a bag for our gadgets, we can just drop them into our shirt pockets. It will not be a tone of surprise, one day, when the news is to read “Technocrats folded Mt everest to….”!!!
