Microsoft gives Windows Exclusives to its Windows Phone 8 range of devices.
Microsoft has released all of the exclusives that was only available on the Windows range of PCs. The exclusives were part of a standard package that came with Windows XP onwards. Can you guess the package? I think you could. Yes, it is the games that were available under the Games menu in the All Programs list.
Microsoft has released all the games under the games menu to the Windows Phone 8 range of devices. The exclusives include:
- Microsoft Solitaire Collection
- Microsoft Minesweeper
- Microsoft Mahjong
The Microsoft Solitaire Collection includes games like Klondike, Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid and TriPeaks. On swiping to the left and right, you get options like How to Play, Statistics, Achievements and Leaderboards. Achievements and Leaderboards come only when you are online (i.e. have a working Wi-Fi or Data connection). Microsoft minesweeper is the same game that you get on your Windows, but this is very much user friendly. When you play the game for the first time, you will get a “how to play” guide.
Microsoft Mahjong is a board clearing game in which you have to match two domino like tiles, starting from the outer to the inner. All the three games are in combined collaboration by Microsoft Studios and Arkadium. The games are very much user friendly and are Xbox Live certified (of course). You can invite your friends who have a WP and try to beat their achievements.
