Sony India announces range of SD and microSD cards

Sony India has expanded its range of storage cards with the introduction of SD/SDHC and microSD/microSDHC cards. The new memory card range tout Class 4 compatibility that is said to be optimized for high-definition recording and also comes with software like File Rescue which helps to retrieve deleted or damaged files and x-Pict story that helps to combine music and pictures to create slideshows.

Sony reckons expanding the memory storage range to SD and microSD cards will help them to garner up to 35 percent of SD card marker by 2010-11. Sony tells that these cards will be available up to a capacity of 32 GB in future. Now this card is having a capacity of 8GB. This is available in shops who are having Sony dealership. This card costs around 600 Indian rupees to 1500 Indian Rupees depending on the Memory capacity of the card.
