Tesla to debut its Latest Model S Teaser officially on March 26
The Tesla issued their upcoming model S sedan teaser image and the announcement that the car will be officially unveiled on march 26.
The new teaser image shows a profile view of the electric sedan and although we can’t gather a full grasp of how the vehicle will look when it debuts, it is clear that the model has an extremely aerodynamic shape and flush mounted headlights. Designed as a 5-door hatchback, the model S should offer a highly functional interior despite its somewhat small wheelbase.
The new teaser will start its sale by 2011, the model S will carry a base price of $60,000 and Tesla is targetting an annual output of 20,000 units. It is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. Tesla had said: “Street-drivable prototype” of the model S will be formally introduced on March 26 at the Tesla design studio.
The pricing and the configuration of the new teaser Model S has not yet been revealed.
