Verizon wireless launches PTT Phone

Verizon Wireless known for wireless phones, has now introduced its latest PTT phone. PTT stands for Push To Talk, which is also known as CDM 8975. The phone has been launched & ready to be purchased via select sale sources. The sales is also made available via VZW shops from march 8,2009.

The product was originally designed by Personal Communication Devices (PCD). The CDM-8975 supports VZ Navigator with access to audible turn-by-turn maps, directions and millions of data points that can help customers find locations.

It supports VZW’s V CAST Music with Rhapsody for online access to millions of songs, and V CAST Video services for downloading full movies, news and sports clips.

Using CDMA, PushTo Talk  is  available independent of paid talk-time and is sometimes free. This feature of either transmitting or receiving enables a single user to broadcast information to several recipients simultaneously and is useful in scenarios such as a CEO announcing an urgent immediate meeting or a security co-ordinator alerting far-flung staff about a possible breach.
