Videocon Mobile Service is all set to launch 4G services in India

Videocon Mobile services will launch 4G services in July 2013 in the 1800 MHz band. The company will use the spectrum deal that was won in the auction during the month of November 2012. The states included were Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgrah, Hariyana, Uttra Pradesh (East and West) and Gujarat, according to the reports from Telegraph. Although the 1800 MHz frequency band is used for voice services, the Department of Telecommunications liberalized the licences, that will allow the company to offer 2G, 3G or 4G services over the same spectrum band.

Videocon to Launch 4G servicesThe 4th generation communication will allow the users to experience the HD quality video streaming and online games. 4G is not new in India, as the service was already provided by Bharti Airtel in Kolkata, Bengaluru and Pune. Reports also says that the Tikona Digital, Infotel and Aircel are in the pipeline to debut their 4G services in India later this year.
