All about Vivo’s next Smartphone X-Shot. A camera centered phone with True-tone LED lighting

Vivo S.A is a major Brazilian company which was formed as a merging of many different companies in Brazil. It includes a vast number of telecommunication companies which provide 3G, 4G, Landline and Mobile Services.

Vivo released the Xplay 3S which is 6 inch Quad HD screen, and flagship features. The next in the flagship range is the upcoming phone code-named X-Zoom and the tag line for the phone aptly thought- “discover, record, change”.

The company put up two photos in their Weibo account (a Chinese micro blogging site) which revealed some of the specification of  the X-Zoom phone. The phone is thought to be camera centric as it is the trend with the latest flagships which actually started with the Nokia range of phones especially the 808 PureView.

The phone is said to come with a Snapdragon 801 Chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of in built memory (don’t know if it will be expandable) and the camera icon in the middle.

True-tone LED lighting

The new phone aka the X-Zoom is expected to have True-tone LED technology. This technology combines white and yellow colours making the photo look natural as opposed to being saturated or over-saturated.

As you can see from the image above, there are two colours to the LED lighting – one yellow and other orange. When flash were given in white, they tend to increase the whiteness of the image and disrupt the white balance. That will not be the case over here and this should produce more bright and natural colours. This technology, is till now, being used in only two phones- the iPhone 5S and the new HTC One aka the M8. The device is first to be of the X-series of devices to be produced by Vivo and the official name is rumoured to be X-Shot. Lets wait for more!
