Ikea furniture with a built in TV, DVD, Blu-ray Players
A Swedish based furniture company – Ikea is set to launch a furniture with a built-in smart TV, DVD player, Blu-ray player and wireless sound systems. The product is ready for a launch in five European cities this summer. The built-in furniture aims to hide the clumsy wires behind the HDTV, but you still need to plug-in the device in the power socket. The device features internet, DVD/Blu-ray, MP3 player, iPod attachment, FM radio and of course with a TV. The tech furniture come with a universal remote for all these devices. “We are launching a new concept where you in one place can buy your furniture and your electronics – designed for and matched with each other from start,” said Ikea’s living room chief Magnus Bondesson.
The furniture features a Uppleva HD, LED TV with DivX HD compatibility and its technology side is done by the Chinese based firm TCL Multimedia.
What’s the cost of the Ikea furniture?
The price of the product is expected to be around £600 or $960. To to be launched in European countries ahead of the US market.
