iPhone 5S fingerprint sensor will be called as “Touch ID” – Says Apple

Well, the rumors hinted that iPhone 5S, that is expected to be launched on September 10th might feature a fingerprint sensor for device security. The feature has been confirmed by multiple reports and the leaked user manual of the device suggests that Apple might called it a different name. According to the leaked user manual, the company might name the feature as “Touch ID”, which is a fingerprint scanner. Checkout the image below where the home button is also called as “Touch ID”. You can also see the naming convention used for other buttons such as “Volume Buttons” and “Sleep/Wake button”; which was previously known as “Volume Up/Down” and “On/Off Sleep/Wake”. The report says that these naming convention were seen on iPod and iPad manuals before and it seems Apple is trying to unify the naming scheme.
