Jolla now available for sale in Finland
Operation with Intel. But this is rather some extra ordinary development committee working to save the name and future of Nokia even if the name is not used. Nokia was bought by Microsoft. So if this were to go in their hands, it would rather be a disappointment for the Finnish company. The smartphones which run on Sailfish OS are marketed by Jolla. The company is now fulfilling the orders across Europe and this was for people, who preordered the device a long back. The device went on sale on November 27, 2013. There were only 450 units available and the company is seeing how the device is selling.
The OS is rather promising and uses the Finnish design without any hardware button for the volume rocker and the power button. Though, the power button is not needed as the OS is very responsive and stays alive even when the screen is locked (aka. tap to wake up).
The features are like an Android flagship of the previous years but no, it is not to disappoint. There is 16GB of storage on board which is expandable via a MicroSD card slot. The phone will sell for 399 (Euros) and the rest of the countries are to follow suit once the production rate is high. Check these pictures out:
The phone is rather stunning and has a beautiful design. The engraving of the company’s name at the top of the phone rather than at the top of the front panel is sure to make the device unique and rather a designer’s phone. It has a unique look to it.
