Lytro, the camera which allows you to refocus after you take a photo!

Normally the traditional cameras captures a single plane of light,whereas Lytro captures the entire light field.  Lytro captures not just the color and intensity of light rays but also the light’s direction. Lytro can do what other cameras can’t. Lytro allows you to adjust the focus of your photo after you take a photo, this feature is called as “Living picture”. It just means that once the photo has been taken its not dead, you can still change the focus of it. Since the camera captures the color, intensity, and direction of all the light, you can focus and re-focus, anywhere in the picture.

Change the Focus after the picture has been shot, what’s that?

Let’s take an example here, you have shot a picture focusing a green plant in a jungle. Lytro captures the entire light field in it’s view. After you shot the picture, you notice a beautiful squirrel in the picture, but unfortunately the squirrel out of focus (see the below picture).
