Nokia’s Asha Lineups unveiled! Asha 500, Asha 502 and 503
Today, Nokia held its Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi.
There was a large amount of anticipation in the air and heavy leaks about the different kind of phones that were going to be released. They were planning to release six devices in which three were supposed to be Asha Lineups. And today all the suspense was gone. Nokia unveiled the Nokia Asha 500, the 502 and the 3G powered 503.
The Asha lineup are known for their mobile data limit and usage conservation which is very much need in a country like India. India is a place in which most of the people still use 2G services when 3G is available as it is expensive. Other feature is Nokia Xpress Browser which will help shrink images to a minimum which will use less of your data and cache it for faster access. Back to the lineup.
The 500 comes as a basic model, same as that of the 501 but with a 2MP camera.
The mid model aka the 502 comes with a 5MP shooter and is only available as a dual-SIM device.
The 503 is the only current model of the latest Asha lineup to support 3G. The 503 comes in both a single SIM version and also a dual-SIM version. The new devices use a Capacitive back button rather than the physical key which featured in the 501. The Asha lineup is all set to start building on the Asha 1.0 OS a very much different approach to that of Symbian. Lets see how these new products with a mid price range and “innovative” thinking work for Nokia.
